I never saw the logo of my city and I'm quite sure there has to be one. I love the new Melbourne logo and, as you mentioned in your article, they should get a new one for their City Counsel.It doesn't matter if they have a long history and if the logo has been there forever, we live in another era where things change to meet the technological demands.

I still think, even in logo design, any proper noun should start with a capital letter, the lower case "b" in the second logo doesn't fly with me!
